Loon Wire Sculpture

This piece is made from a continuous strand of 16 gauge steel wire and attached to the unique driftwood base shown in the photo.

Dimension: Height-9.25 in, Length- 12.5 in, Depth-6 in.

Sculpting with wire allows me to define form and imply movement as each piece becomes a dynamic drawing in space. Because I sculpt with steel wire, this piece may oxidize and develop a rust patina. If you prefer to protect your piece from rust, a light coating of a clear spray varnish may be applied.

I hope that my work reflects my love of the natural world and that my methods are kind to the environment as well. I avoid the use of paints and solvents and I try to reuse packing/shipping materials.
