This hummingbird wire sculpture is made from a continuous strand of 16-gauge steel wire and attached to a unique driftwood base.

Sculpting with wire lets me define form and suggest movement as each piece becomes a dynamic drawing in space. Because I sculpt with steel wire, this piece may oxidize and develop a rust patina. If you prefer to protect your piece from rust, you may apply a light coat of clear spray varnish.
