This wire bear is created using one strand of 16-gauge steel wire and is attached to the driftwood shown in the photo.

My wire sculptures are one-of-a-kind, three-dimensional wire drawings. They continue to delight viewers as their appearance changes depending on the angle from which they are viewed.

I do not mount the sculptures on canvas, paper, or plywood, and they don’t require a frame. I do not paint my sculptures, so I do not use solvents. The sculptures are very light, and shipping takes less energy. I hope my work reflects my love of the natural world and is kind to the environment as well.

Because I sculpt with steel wire, this piece is not rust-proof. I enjoy the rust patina, but if you prefer to protect your piece from rust, a light coating of clear spray varnish may be applied.
