Each figure is made from a single continuous piece of 16-gauge steel wire and attached to the driftwood base, as shown in the photo.

I do not mount the sculptures on canvas, paper, or plywood, and they don’t require a frame. I do not paint my sculptures, so solvents are not used. The sculptures are lightweight; therefore, shipping requires less energy. I hope my work reflects my love of the natural world and is environmentally friendly.
I sculpt with steel wire; therefore, this piece is not rust-proof. I enjoy the rust patina, but if you prefer to protect your piece from rust, a light coating of clear spray varnish may be applied.
